Branch County is nestled right in the heart of South Central Michigan. Our population hovers right around 50,000 people and we are surrounded by both economic stability as well as sheer beauty with our rolling hills and the infamous “Chain of Lakes”.
Interstate 69 runs through the middle of Branch County just east of Coldwater, Gerard, and Kinderhook. The 69 Business Loop runs through Coldwater as well as US 12 runs east to west and passes through Coldwater, Bronson, and Quincy.
Branch County is home to Clemens Food Group, which now employs over 800 people. Clemens works with family oriented area pork producers and supplies pork products locally. Clemens has been a family owned business for well over 100 years. Maroa Farms Greenhouse also calls Branch County home and has recently opened up Phase 2 of their growing operation. Maroa Farms prides themselves on their ability to grow, pack, and deliver fresh tomatoes in the middle of winter, and of course fresh produce year-round.
The Chain of Lakes is the staple of Branch County year round activities including swimming, boating, fishing / ice fishing, and snowmobiling, as well as our annual Tip Up, among many other fun activities. People flock to the lakes year round for some good, clean, fun!
